A drop too little (A- and Magdalene)

Look at what I found; see at what I saw,
Another beauty with no fault or flaw.
Ignorance can not offer me its bliss
Too beautiful is this miss.

Love is the sweetest of all illusions,
And the cruelest of all delusions;
For every drop of happiness
There is a pool of sadness,
But what a dark wonder she is,
Will she be mine, or remain his?

Her lips soft, crimson and supple
Her cheeks glowing and those eyes sparkle;
Charming the mind with foolish affairs,
One where lust and love are each others pairs.
A kiss she gave, a kiss to borrow
A kiss I took, a kiss of sorrow,
A pool too deep, but a drop too little
- A drop too much, a life unlivable.
