Arrow

I pulled to expel the arrow, for it only to break-
Logged in me, bleeding sorrow with every ache,
Too much damage to draw out it from its entry,
As it stays, not by her I’m taken but by cupid’s treachery.
I dare hold the arrow’s tip and completely drag it through
Its thirsty edge has tasted enough of my red tissue,
And the spreading splintered ends that spike out free
Will catch my heart inside and won’t ever leave from me.
So I wait till grinding time will come to separate,
One will remain as other the will disintegrate.
