Good Night

He held you for too long, why did you patiently wait,
To give yourself away, trying to forget your sorry fate?
You came, you saw, you loved and that was all,
Swollen eyes, broken lips, a ravaged soul,
You’re no longer as perfect, no longer as whole.

Those wrinkles swathe around your dented soft flesh,
Is this worth your freedom? Was that your great wish?
Lying on the harsh road waiting to take you from your fear,
Hoping death would soon guide your soul away from here,
Leaving your body that will catch up to disappear.

Goodbye, never again (but in memory) we shall meet,
To pity you is a disrespect: a horrible, a great defeat!
